Similar to the 1st floor posting, please advise that I manually flipped everything so the specifics are CLOSE but not perfect. :)

Floorplan of the 1st Floor

Wednesday, November 14th, 2007

So, I did my best and modified the model drawings Berks gave us to make it look like our customized house! We will be getting some finalized plans, but this was fun in the meantime ;) We’ll see how close I was in guessing!

As always, click on the link to make it bigger.  Click again to see it better magnified!

The picture will still be kind of fuzzy, but it was the best I could do at this time :)

Outlets! (side note)

Wednesday, November 14th, 2007

The “new” Limerick outlets are only 6.5 miles from our new house! YAY! How exciting!

PS – IF you go to the outlets and don’t visit you are not our friends anymore! ;)

Stone Upgrade (on the front of our house)

Wednesday, November 14th, 2007

We opted for the “upgraded” Stone on the front of our house. The other parts will be vinyl and probably some other elements (James can add to this later if I missed something) :)

Here is a diagram of where the stone is going to go on the front of the house. This diagram is the standard, you can add stone anywhere but of course there is extra “fees” associated. The 2nd pic is the stone from the side.

We are going with the standard as shown below.  Note that our garage will be a side-entry garage (this diagram shows the garages in the front of the house).

Our 180 day countdown started! Yes!

Saturday, November 10th, 2007

As an add-on to Marissa’s note, just wanted to say that getting the mortgage commitment was the last of 3 items necessary for our builder to start drafting the blueprint for our house!

That also means that permits are being applied for (by the builder). Hopefully the weather will work with us and we will have our house in 6 months or less!

YAY!!! Mortgage stuff….

Thursday, November 8th, 2007

We finally got our confirmed mortgage contingency so we are good to go with that! YAY!

More pics of our bare lot!

Saturday, November 3rd, 2007

We went back to our lot last Saturday 10/28 and took some more pictures of our lot.

Lot 17 on 10/28/07

Here I am, standing on one side of Lot 17, and James is at the other end.

Here’s the view from the other angle! Now this time I’m at the other end :)

Design Center!

Thursday, November 1st, 2007

Well, we did our final design center visit 2 days ago, but I never had a chance to write about it until now.

It was crazy! It took us 6 hours to finish the final selections for options in our new house. This is despite the 2 previous visits we made (totaling ~5-6 hours!) during the open houses. It’s a grueling process, and I think everyone was glad when it was over.

We still are awaiting answers to a couple of questions and hope to have the sign off done by this Friday (tomorrow!). Phew!

Tile in master bath

Thursday, November 1st, 2007

Since Florida tile’s website could use some serious updating, I managed to grab the tile color and am posting it here for future use!

This is our Tile color. Made by Florida Tile, it’s the Topeka Beige glazed ceramic tile model. 13×13 on the floor in the master bath and 4×4 tile around and on the tub.
